About

Welcome to Safe Lotus Counselling & Coaching (SLCC)

I’m Neeteesha, the principal counsellor at SLCC. My priority is to provide a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported.

The lotus flower, symbolising resilience and transformation, reflects the journey of growth and healing. Just as it rises from the mud, we too can regenerate, navigate life’s challenges and flourish with the right support.

With extensive experience in trauma, grief & loss, addiction, and complex mental health, I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+, CALD, and neurodivergent communities.

My work utilises a range of skillsets and knowledge including mindfulness and meditation that I have practised for over 4 decades and taught for many years. Knowledge of neuroscience and neuroplasticity also informs my practice to assist with psychoeducation and to help clients gain more understanding and compassion when addressing and overcoming addiction and trauma affected behaviours to help against stigma, shame and guilt.

As a PACFA-accredited clinical counsellor and ICF-registered coach, I uphold the highest ethical and professional standards. My work in the Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD) sector involves trauma-informed counselling and assessments within community agencies.

Clients often report gaining clarity, confidence, and emotional resilience—overcoming anxiety, depression, addiction, self-sabotage, and unhealthy patterns after our sessions. My approach fosters self-awareness, improved relationships, and meaningful life changes.

I invite you to have a conversation to determine if I might be the right fit for you, as the therapeutic relationship has to feel right for you to get the best possible outcomes. I’d love to support your journey.

Now offering after-hours and weekend Telehealth and in-person sessions. I am also fluent in English, French and Mauritian Creole languages.
